When you sell bitcoin on Aureo, you pay a Lightning invoice (BOLT11) and receive pesos via SPEI to your personal bank account.
Before you start
Your identity verification (Tier 1) must be approved or pending.
You must have your personal bank account set up in Aureo.
You need a Lightning-compatible wallet to pay the invoice (e.g., Phoenix, Muun, Wallet of Satoshi, ZBD, Blink, or Sati).
Steps to sell bitcoin
Go to Sell Bitcoin from the main menu.
If you have not yet set up your bank account, the app will prompt you to do so before continuing.
Enter the amount in Mexican pesos you wish to receive.
Minimum: $100 MXN
Maximum (Tier 1): $50,000 MXN per transaction
Maximum (Tier 2 and 3): $100,000 MXN per transaction
Review the exchange rate and fee, then tap Sell Bitcoin.
Aureo generates a Lightning invoice. You have 5 minutes to pay it. You can:
Scan the QR code with your Lightning wallet
Copy the invoice and paste it into your wallet
Once your Lightning payment is confirmed, Aureo converts the bitcoin and sends pesos to your personal bank account via SPEI.
You will see the Payout successful screen when the order is complete.
What if my quote expired?
The Lightning invoice expires in 5 minutes. If you did not pay in time, a "Refresh Swap Order" button will appear on the order screen. Tapping it, Aureo generates a new invoice with the updated exchange rate — you do not need to create a new order.
If you already sent bitcoin but the order shows an error, contact support from the app — you will not lose your bitcoin.
