Pay a Lightning invoice from your wallet and receive Mexican pesos in your bank account via SPEI.
Selling bitcoin on Aureo is a two-part move: you tell Aureo how many pesos you want to receive, then you pay a Lightning invoice from your own wallet. As soon as the payment confirms, Aureo sends pesos to your bank account by SPEI. Most orders complete in minutes.
Before you start
Your identity verification (Tier 1) must be approved or pending.
Your personal bank account must be set up in Aureo. If it is not, the app prompts you to add it by CLABE, debit card number, or phone number.
You need a Lightning-compatible wallet to pay the invoice, such as Phoenix, Muun, Wallet of Satoshi, ZBD, Blink, or Sati.
Steps to sell
Open the account menu and select Sell bitcoin.
Enter the amount in Mexican pesos you want to receive. The minimum is $100 MXN; the maximum per transaction is $50,000 MXN on Tier 1 and $100,000 MXN on Tiers 2 and 3.
Confirm the destination account in the To field and add an optional note.
Review the exchange rate, then tap Sell bitcoin.
Aureo generates a Lightning invoice valid for 5 minutes. Scan the QR code with your wallet, copy the invoice, or tap Open in wallet.
Once your payment confirms, Aureo converts the bitcoin and sends the pesos to your bank account via SPEI. The Payout successful screen confirms completion.
Open the account menu and select Sell bitcoin.
Enter the amount in pesos and confirm the destination account.
Pay the Lightning invoice within 5 minutes: scan, copy, or open in your wallet.
If your quote expires:
The Lightning invoice expires after 5 minutes. If you did not pay in time, tap Refresh Swap Order on the order screen. Aureo generates a new invoice at the updated exchange rate, and you do not need to create a new order. If you already sent bitcoin and the order shows an error, contact support from the app; your bitcoin is not lost.
Practical takeaway
Keep your Lightning wallet funded and your bank account saved in Aureo, and selling takes under a minute of your attention.
